An Introduction: CAMP

I fell madly in love with CAMP the moment that I laid eyes on it. It's as if the entire line was created with me in mind - creams, balms, oils, and even a magnificent powder exfoliator. Everything that I love! And each crafted with exquisite ingredients like mango butter, Egyptian black cumin seed oil, and coconut milk powder. It's no wonder my skin adored each product that I sampled!

Coconut Beach Face Scrub -  This scrub offers an exciting take on the traditional powder exfoliator. It combines coconut milk powder, fair trade cane sugar, oatmeal, and Moroccan Rhassoul clay. Though the ingredient list may seem simple, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the baby soft skin that it reveals. I would consider this scrub to be somewhere between gentle and invigorating. It may be too stimulating for those with overly sensitive skin, but for everyone else, it's perfect! If the summer sun has left you with some unwelcome spots, I recommend mixing this exfoliator with skin-brightening mashed strawberries!

Filthy Rich Face Cream -  For a self-proclaimed oil/balm lover, I have an intense emotional attachment to face creams. I have used creams for years and still adore them. And Filthy Rich is no exception. This decadent cream combines non-comedogenic mango butter and shea butter with healing oils like rosehip seed, borage, and evening primrose. The result is a light, almost whipped, texture that is easy to spread across the skin. With the humid weather Chicago has been experiencing recently, I find using this cream a few nights a week works beautifully for keeping my skin soft and smooth. However, for those with extra dry skin, I definitely recommend using this cream on a nightly basis.

Desert Island Wonder Balm - Much to my surprise, the Wonder Balm was my favorite of the bunch! It made a fantastic cleansing balm. So fantastic in fact, that I have already drained the jar. And I am in love with the ingredient list - cold-pressed, unrefined sunflower oil infused chamomile, comfrey, and yarrow, sweet almond oil infused with calendula, local beeswax... I could go on. Most importantly, my acne prone skin is ecstatic that this product does not contain coconut oil. Why is it so hard to find a balm without coconut oil, I ask?? Though I never used this as a moisturizer (I was too busy indulging in the Filthy Rich Face Cream), I think it would be more than up to the task. It's a softer balm that is easy to spread and smooth into the skin.

It's official, I must try the rest of the line. I'm looking at you Dreamcatcher Youth Serum and Vanilla Moon Body Oil.
