An Introduction - Graydon

Graydon is a lovely Canadian line that I recently discovered. Beloved by Sonja of Life in Blush and pretty much everyone else who has tried it, Graydon is an affordable, sleek, simple (and proud of it!) line. Graydon Moffat, the company's beautiful founder, pays attention to every detail when crafting these products and seeks out local plant-based ingredients whenever possible. I'm definitely impressed. Here are a few of my favorites -

Sun Cream - I previously reviewed this sunscreen here. I adore the creamy texture and how seamlessly it spreads and absorbs. Most importantly, I've never noticed any type of white cast. In addition to offering excellent protection from the sun via zinc oxide, this sunscreen contains plant-based sunscreens as well, including cherry kernel oil, raspberry seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, rice bran oil, and so much more! It's not the lightest sunscreen, but the added creaminess will be exactly what your dry skin is craving come fall.

Face Food Mist -  This water-based mist is perfect for people like me who find aloe-based mists a little sticky. I love how light and fresh it feels. Plus, it is the only mist I've ever come across that contains only minerals. No flowers, no oils, just calming, clearing, and bacteria-busting minerals. It is the perfect base for serums and I've never experienced even the slightest bit of irritation when I use it. Love!

The Balm (soon to be renamed The Putty) - This cream is very light for something named The Balm (which might explain the name change). It contains insanely soothing ingredients - calendula, chamomile, shea butter - plus the moisture-packed power of manuka honey! I've never seen honey in a moisturizer so this was a pleasant surprise for me (especially since I've been a bit manuka honey crazed lately). In case you were curious, the texture is creamy, rather than oily. The Balm is very healing and though I worried it might be too heavy for my acne prone skin, I actually found the opposite to be true - it's a little too light for my dry skin at night. I imagine that it would be perfect for those with combination/oily skin! (It also works wonderfully for daytime.)
