As you know, I've been crushing on Lite + Cycle for some time. These gorgeous, 100% plant-based candles are crafted from renewable, biodegradable materials and contain a high content of pure essential oils. In sum, they are the perfect marriage of design and sustainability. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was to get my hands on both the Urban Forest and Bergamot candles. Urban Forest blends American wild-grown cedar with fennel, fir, and a hint of coffee. It smells all kinds of earthy and amazing. I have been captivated by woodsy scents lately, which might explain why I found myself lighting this candle every time I sat down at my computer. This is not your typical Yankee Candle; the scent is subtle and lovely. I've been coveting the last bits of this candle and I would certainly repurchase one or two more!
Attention citrusy bergamot lovers, this candle is for you. I find the scent to be one of the best renditions of bergamot that I have ever encountered. I'm not surprised considering Lite + Cycle's bergamot essential oil is cultivated in Italy without pesticides or chemical fertilizers and then cold-pressed to maintain the integrity of the aroma. It's light, fresh, and for me, the perfect warm weather candle. The scent is also universally appealing and provides a great option for entertaining!

I am so into woodsy smells as well! I have a green tea candle right now that I am loving! How long do these candles last, would you say? They sound to die for- also a really great gift :0) - Kathryne
ReplyDeleteI only sampled the votive size, but it lasted me quite some time. Judging from that, I think the 40 hour burn time listed on the site sounds pretty accurate! These are GORGEOUS! And you won't be overwhelmed by scent either, which is one of my candle pet peeves.
