I like to think of the MyHavtorn Facial Oil as a vitamin for the skin. It is a simple combination of sea buckthorn berry, argan, and avocado. What makes this oil so special is the sheer amount of sea buckthorn in the blend - 50% to be exact. Sea buckthorn is rich in Vitamin A, antioxidants, and omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9. It repairs, restores, and nurtures the skin. It's truly a wonder berry. MyHavtorn is a Swedish brand that sources their sea buckthorn directly from the coast of Sweden. That means it is about as fresh and pure as it gets.
Sea buckthorn is red. Very red. In fact, it's typically present in oils at around a 5-10% concentration for this very reason. Because this oil contains 50% sea buckthorn, it will temporarily stain the skin a bright red-orange color. For this reason, I recommend using this oil at night. All redness is gone come morning. Though I only had a small sample of this oil, I found that it left my skin soft and glowing. It's definitely a treat!

ReplyDeleteI used it for around a week. Then I made my own DIY version. Because my sea buckthorn isn't from Sweden, it probably wasn't quite as potent, but I really like the blend.
