There is a reason why this natural deodorant is so popular - you don't stink when you wear it. It is as simple as that. Soapwalla deodorant cream is a mixture of clays, powders, and oils without any cancer-causing aluminum. Perfect. I have definitely cheated on this deodorant with others and have always regretted it (I'm looking at you Crystal Deo!)
Soapwalla Deodorant - $14 for 2 oz.
Acure Organics is a great brand for everyday basics at an affordable price point. You will see a lot of outrageously expensive products on this blog, but I save where I can. For example, when I find a perfect body lotion for $9.99, I stock up and never look back (our office seriously looks like an episode of Hoarders.) I have tried all of the body lotions by Acure and I love them all (Mandarin Orange is my personal fav.) I am a moisture freak and I thought you would have to pry the Aveeno out of my cold, dead hands, but I am pleased to say that will no longer be necessary.
I just recently purchased the shampoo and conditioner by Acure after reading all of the rav reviews. I chose the lemongrass shampoo for all hair types and the moroccan argan oil conditioner for normal to dry hair. (I am convinced that my hair is dry even though I have little hard evidence of this.) I am in LOVE with the scent of the conditioner - it is very almond-y and delicious. The shampoo scent is nice too, but I have a lot of cleaning products that smell like lemongrass so it kind of reminds me of them in not the best way. But on to the performance - the shampoo cleans your hair and the conditioner, well conditions it. Exactly what they are supposed to do. You can't ask for more than that. These will definitely be my go-to shampoo and conditioner (although I will probably switch to the moroccan argan oil shampoo because THE SMELL IS SO GOOD!)
Acure Body Lotions - $9.99 for 7 oz.
Acure Shampoo and Conditioner - $10.99 for 12 oz
BEST. LIP. BALM. EVER.
Paw Paw Lip Balm - $14 for .88 oz
4. RMS Beauty + W3LL People
Unfortunately for all of you makeup lovers, I am not that crazy about it (meaning there won't be a ton of reviews on the topic - Sorry!) Don't get me wrong, I wear it. Makeup just doesn't excite me the way that skin care does. I use concealer, setting powder, blush, and a highlighter. Bam. That's it. BUT of course I do have my favorites within those categories -
RMS Beauty's "un" cover-up is probably the best concealer of acne (natural or otherwise) on the market. It provides great coverage and stays put throughout the day. Love it!
RMS Beauty also recently came out with a powder that is phenomenal! The "un" powder contains one single ingredient - silica. Amazing. It also goes on sheer and does a great job of setting the "un" cover-up. They are the perfect acne-hiding, shine-reducing combo!
I received the W3LL Universalist 2 as part of the most recent No More Dirty Looks Quarterly Co. subscription. I have to agree with the ladies at No More Dirty Looks that this is a great highlighter. Natural beauty lovers will be shocked that the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer isn't tops in this category for me, but sadly it made me break out. I like Universalist 2 because it provides a believable glow and you don't have to worry about the dreaded white stripe on your cheekbone (I can't be the only one this has happened to?!?)
I know, I mentioned that blush is part of my routine, but I am still using the very unclean Nars Orgasm. Kjaer Weis cream blush is on my wish list!
RMS Beauty "un" cover-up - $36
RMS Beauty "un" powder - $34
W3LL People Universalist 2 - $33
This is a great greens powder by a quality company. Definitely not a substitute for eating your vegetables, but some days we could all use a little help in the getting enough greens department. Mix it with pineapple juice, you will learn to love it!
This is the post that made me realize how much we have in common! Great reviews. #skincarejunkiesunite
